So, you finally have a science PhD, or will have one in the future. What to do with it? Are all doors open to you, or is there still a lot of work to be done? How will your career development look in the age of AI? This workshop will help you get oriented: What do you want to achieve with it, where do you want to go after it, and how can you use your time in academia to prepare for the next step?
In this workshop, you´ll learn about:
How will AI impact the job hunt?
Which jobs will become redundant, which new skills do you need to bring to the table, and how to use AI as a coach?
Introspection
Your interests, values and skills.
Careers with a PhD
What career options exist, and how can you switch between them to craft your career?
Shall I do a postdoc or not?
Does it make sense to spend additional time on academic research after your PhD?
Skill development
Which (hidden) skills do you already have, and which can you develop during your time in academia?

What do employers want from you, and how can you sell yourself?
Workshop materials
Online: After the webinar phase, participants have three weeks to dive deeper into the course material on the learning platform and receive individual feedback from the course instructors.
In-house: All participants receive a PDF script of the course, allowing them to revise the material at their convenience.
